 Business and Investment Finance has been trading for ten years and during that time has gained a reputation as a professional company with extensive in house expertise specialising in “creative finance” for Property and Business clients. The company has strong relationships with clients providing guidance and advice on how best to structure their borrowing requirements.
Many clients have grown substantial businesses in partnership with the BIF and the finance they have created. Lenders also like to work with BIF, they know they will receive a professional pack of information and guidance on the structure of the funding required. Stuart Buchanan Managing Partner
Stuart has been involved in commercial finance for twenty five years in independent sector specialising in designing lending solutions. He started advising businesses on financial restructuring and funding for new purchases, then specialising in property investment and development finance. Stuart frequently writes for specialist publications on the subject of finance and is also a regular speaker at property investment events.
Alistair Saddler
Alistair has over twenty years experience in commercial finance for businesses, he started initially at Christie and Co where he advised businesses in all sectors with a particular speciality in hotels and the leisure sector. Many professionals ask Alistair to advise their clients on how to structure their finance requirements.
Dermot McKeever
Dermot has been in the financial services world for over twenty years, during that time he has worked for a number of large institutions in a board capacity most recently as sales director of a building society. He provides consultancy to a number of businesses and understands the inside workings of the lenders.

Rates change on a daily basis, guideline rates are shown below:

- 5 yrs 2.98%
- 7 yrs 3.44%
- 10 yrs 3.85%
- 15 yrs 4.23%
- 20 yrs 4.40%
Base Rate has averaged 4.75% since the start of 1999.
